Gary Braun

Mr. Braun joined the Orange County (Irvine) branch of Pathfinder Mortgage Corporation (PMC) in 2016. Gary has served in the field of commercial real estate finance since 1978, holds a California real estate broker license and is a member of the national Mortgage Bankers Association.

Prior to joining the Irvine branch of PMC, Mr. Braun served as a Senior Vice President of Johnson Capital/Walker & Dunlop, in Irvine, California, originating commercial loans (acquisition, development and refinance) on behalf of clients with life insurance companies, banks, CMBS platforms and others. Property types included office buildings, shopping centers, industrial buildings, and hospitality properties.
Mr. Braun began his career in commercial real estate finance in 1977 with Westinghouse Credit Corporation (WCC) in Chicago, Illinois then later with WCC and ITT Real Estate Services in Denver, CO. After relocating to Southern California in 1983, Mr. Braun entered the mortgage banking sector, first with John Burnham, later with Churchill Mortgage and Cohen Financial. In these positions he was responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and closing several hundred loans totaling in excess of $1 billion.

A native of Michigan, Mr. Braun earned his B.A. Degree in Political Science from Kalamazoo College in 1963. After working on a large urban redevelopment project in Kalamazoo, he entered and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1978 with an M.B.A. degree, concentrating in real estate and finance. Mr. Braun obtained his California commercial broker’s license in 1988 and has been active in numerous industry-related forums and programs during his professional career.
